Alexander R. Comsudi brings a unique blend of intellectual rigor, real-world experience, and creative problem-solving to his legal practice. A native Austinite, Mr. Comsudi focuses his work on criminal appeals, administrative and government law, personal injury, and legal education and training.
Alexander began his legal career as a briefing attorney at the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, where he spent three years analyzing complex appellate cases, training incoming clerks and interns, and sharpening the legal arguments behind some of Texas’s most important criminal decisions. His passion for legal writing and deep understanding of Texas criminal procedure led him to publish two scholarly articles in the SMU Annual Texas Survey, covering Confessions, Searches, and Seizures in 2021 and 2022.
Before pursuing law, Alexander followed a very different path—completing sushi-chef training and working in the service industry. That experience not only taught him discipline and attention to detail, but also sparked a desire to pursue justice and advocacy through the law. He later earned his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Retail Merchandising.
Alexander is admitted to practice law in Texas and is a proud five-year member of the Texas Bar College, an honor reserved for attorneys dedicated to continued legal education and excellence in the profession. He is also fluent in Spanish and conversational in Japanese and Greek, which allows him to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients.
Known for his considerate nature, self-taught drive, and ingenuity, Alexander is committed to delivering thoughtful, strategic representation. Whether briefing a criminal appeal or helping to train the next generation of legal minds, he brings an analytical yet human-centered approach to every matter he handles.
