Jacobus A. Roux

Jacobus Roux is currently employed in the Pre-Litigation Department and was admitted as an attorney in South Africa in 1991, where he practiced litigation until 2012. During his career, he focused on litigation and obtained a B.Proc degree, followed by an LLM (cum laude) in Advanced Litigation at the University of Pretoria. His mother tongue is Afrikaans.

In 2012, Mr. Roux and his family immigrated to the United States, where he furthered his education and earned an LLM degree at the Dayton School of Law. He is a member of the Texas Bar and remains on the roll of attorneys in South Africa (non-practicing). While studying law in South Africa, he also served in law enforcement for four years.

In addition to his legal career, he represented South Africa in the 2009 US Open Martial Arts competition in Orlando, Florida where he earned a bronze and silver medal.

Mr. Roux is married with two children and finds his American citizenship and admission to the Texas Bar as significant milestones in his career. He takes pride in being tenacious, hardworking, and focused on providing the best possible service to his clients.
