Mr. Jay Scott MacDonald joined the firm in 2016 with more than 18 years’ experience in civil and criminal litigation. He previously worked with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice representing clients in over 20 Texas circuit courts and state appellate courts.
After leaving the department, Mr. MacDonald worked as in-house counsel and a legal advisor with several large corporations, handling corporate and private business interests, reviewing contracts, and counseling employees on legal procedures. Mr. MacDonald is also well-versed in health law and has extensive knowledge of COBRA and HIPPA.
Beyond his legal career, Mr. MacDonald is happily married and is a former Elder in the Presbyterian Church.
