Matthew Alan Hatfield is a dedicated and compassionate attorney focused on representing individuals and families in complex personal injury cases, including wrongful death, traumatic brain injuries, and major vehicle-related accidents. A proud graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, Matthew also holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from Baylor University, where he earned Dean’s List honors. During law school, he participated in the Memphis Law Tax Clinic, where he helped low-income individuals file their taxes, demonstrating his early commitment to public service and advocacy.
Matthew also has a strong background in education and public service, having tutored students in reading, writing, and math for Comal ISD, and interned with the General Counsel of Memphis Shelby County Schools.
Born and raised in Garden Ridge, Texas, just outside San Antonio, Matthew is a proud Texan who stays active in his community and his faith. He attends Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels and enjoys spending time with his two sisters and mother.
Outside of the courtroom, Matthew is an avid Baylor football and basketball fan, a lifelong Spurs supporter, and a Premier League soccer enthusiast. He plays recreational soccer in San Antonio and has even completed a marathon—bringing the same determination and endurance to his legal practice that he does to the finish line.
Matthew is known for being motivated, compassionate, and highly detail-oriented, qualities that drive his work and define his approach to client service.
